Cafes VejleBryg Coffee House 4 out of 5

In the pedestrian street right by the old town hall a new coffee place has opened. Bryg Coffee House it is called and it is a place that really nurses the coffee. It is not cheap coffee you get here, but the coffee beans are locally roasted and grinded on sight which makes it good quality coffee. The selection is modest however the coffee is really well brewed.
The coffee is served in a little pot and their buns are both tasty and nutritious.
Bryg Coffee House has a good and cozy atmosphere with friendly service in relaxing settings in which the owners themselves work and serve you.

Cafes VejleGarage Burgerbar 4 out of 5

In the pedestrian street right across from the old town hall, there is a little alley in which you find Garage Burgerbar. At this place you choose yourself how you like to compose your own menu. You can combine a burger with a side order and a dip or bacon, or you can order things separately. There is not a long menu at Garage Burgerbar, but everything is homemade and it is really tasty and good quality. And still the prices are fair. It is a small place which is just another plus to its qualities.

Cafes VejleCONRADS 4 out of 5

Even though the food is nothing special, and perhaps even in the lower end of “caféfood”, the Café Conrads still score high on my review list. This is because of the historic sourrundings of the Café and the always friendly service by the staff.

Cafes VejleByens Café 4 out of 5

Byens Café in Jelling is situated in Byens Hus. Jelling is a town just fifteen minutes by train from Vejle. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site often referred to as “Home of the Viking Kings” and its monuments are acknowledged as Denmark’s Certificate of Baptism. Jelling is definitely worth a visit and whilst in town a visit to Byens Café is highly recommendable. The café has a comfortable feel to it and you can enjoy both drinks, coffees, and various hot and cold dishes in the warm atmosphere. Since the café moreover houses a brewery, naturally different homebrewed beers also are on the menu. Furthermore Byens Hus includes a library so insight in the reading habits of the Danes is possible.
Four out of five stars.

pub VejleMadam Blå (Madam Blue) – 4 out of 5

Cafes VejleCafé Velvet 3 out of 5

In the most southern end of the pedestrian street you will find this newly opened large restaurant called Café Velvet. It has many seats both inside and outside. From the outdoor seats there is a view over the stream.
Although the menu also lists classic café dishes such as sandwiches and burgers, the main concept of the place is buffet. The buffet has a wide selection of roasts as well as lettuces and toppings to mix your own individual salad.
Furthermore it is possible to order desserts and a somewhat plain coffee.
The restaurant atmosphere is pleasant and the service is kind.
We rate it three out of five.

Cafes VejleCafé Sejd 2 out of 5

Café Sejd is a café in the centre of Jelling. Jelling is a fifteen minute train ride from Vejle and the café is approximately a three minute walk from the train station. The coffee and cake which is served at Café Sejd is mediocre, its personnel, however, is kind and polite.
This café rates two out of five stars.
